Criminal

The firm undertakes and has considerable experience in a wide range of work in this area - from the most serious serious cases - murder, sexual offences, assaults and theft - to breach of the peace and motoring offences - and in the High Court, Sheriff Court or the local District Court.

Additionally and perhaps unusually it has substantial experience in military criminal law and one of the firm`s litigation partners, Douglas Williams, is regularly instructed in the conduct of Courts Martial. Several of the firm`s litigation partners have gone on to pursue successfull careers as either Crown or Defence Advocates (the Scottish equivalent of Barristers) and the firm maintains close association with them.

Family Law

The firm offers a comprehensive matrimonial and family law service covering divorce and separation, financial disputes and settlements, cases relating to children, including adoption, cohabitee disputes, Social Security problems and Children's Hearings.
